Creating a Schedule

Set up time-based call routing on UCExcel with business hours, after-hours, and holiday schedules.

Log in to the UCExcel admin portal

Navigate to your UCExcel admin portal and sign in with your administrator credentials.

Navigate to Schedules

From the main menu, go to Call Routing > Schedules. This is where all time-based routing rules are managed.

Create a new schedule

Click 'Add Schedule' and give it a descriptive name (e.g., 'Business Hours', 'After Hours', 'Public Holidays').

Define time ranges

Set the days and hours for this schedule. For business hours, a typical configuration is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. You can add multiple time ranges per schedule.

Assign call routing actions

For each schedule, configure what happens to incoming calls — route to a queue, play a message, forward to voicemail, or redirect to a mobile number.

Save and test

Save the schedule and make a test call to verify calls are routed correctly during and outside the configured hours.
