Creating a Schedule

Set up auto attendant schedules in Microsoft Teams for business hours, after-hours, and holiday routing.

1

Open the Teams admin centre

Go to admin.teams.microsoft.com and sign in with your Microsoft 365 admin credentials.

2

Navigate to Auto attendants

In the left menu, go to Voice > Auto attendants. Select the auto attendant you want to configure, or create a new one.

3

Set business hours

Under 'Business hours', configure your standard operating hours for each day of the week. Calls during these hours will follow your business hours call flow.

4

Configure after-hours call flow

Under 'After hours', set what happens outside business hours — play a greeting, redirect to voicemail, forward to a number, or disconnect.

5

Add holiday schedules

Under 'Holiday call settings', click 'Add' to create holiday entries. Set the date range and configure the call flow for each holiday period.

6

Save and test

Click 'Save' to apply your schedule. Place test calls during and outside business hours to verify the routing works as expected.
